Dead Skull Coffee are very proud to announce a brand new coffee, and Dead Skull’s very first band collaboration with our good friends THUNDER.
For over thirty years Thunder have been producing incredible music, and thrilling their fans all over the world onstage, so now Dead Skull Coffee and Thunder are thrilled to introduce... THUNDER SIGNATURE BLEND COFFEE.
With every Subscription we will be offering a free Thunder coaster each month, featuring an iconic Thunder Album cover, starting with Backstreet Symphony, then working its way to the latest All The Right Noises (released March 2021).
The band have been amazing with their support, tasting feedback and all round help in putting this project together. It's been an exciting journey, and we truly feel that we have come up with an amazing tasting coffee, not only for Thunder fans but regular DSC customers.
Try it and see if you agree with us.
It's approved by the band and a 100% official product. Each bag is stickered with Danny, Luke, Ben, Harry and Chris’s signatures too!
The coffee is a fairly traded blend and packed in black matt recyclable valve bags, so you can smell the freshness when you open it. The Nespresso classic original pods are fully compostable too, so both DSC and Thunder are proud to be doing something positive for the environment, by ensuring low wastage.
A little information on the beans we use in the Thunder Signature Blend
It's a Full City roast, a medium/dark brown in colour and medium in strength. More body, excellent as a morning filter or a flat white, but it also makes a fantastic espresso. It can be used in both cafetieres and home barista stations. It's a tasty versatile blend of Brazil Cerrado, Colombian Excelso and Guatemalan Huehuetenango beans. Come on, you know you're glad to know that, but there's more...
This is generally clean with a good body (creamy in taste), low acidity, well-balanced.
If you want something a little bit special and different, then this is it. It's a micro-lot speciality coffee - grown from the Cerrado Mineiro region, on a plot that only yields low amounts of fantastic tasting coffee. You get a specific flavour profile from this region in Brazil - Chocolate, Lychee, Berry, and Wine.
Colombia is unique in coffee origins as it has a non-profit central organisation (FNC - National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia) which represents over 500,000 producers, most of which are small family-owned farms. Our Colombian coffee is balanced and smooth with notes of fruit, chocolate and caramel, a medium body, a bright acidity and a pleasant, clean aftertaste.
Guatemala Huehuetenango (commonly pronounced “way-way-teh-NAN-go”)
This is an excellent all-round coffee, as likeable as Colombian coffee, but slightly more refined in taste and acidity. Cherry, chocolate flavours with a mild citrus acidity.Huehuetenango coffee is grown in the highland regions of northern Guatemala, producing perhaps the most distinguished Guatemalan coffee, as it's often considered the best in the country overall.
* Please note our pods/capsules are Original Nespresso classic style only - not the new Vertuo one - we do not sell pods for Dolce Gusto or Tassimo machines
